Attività di ricerca

Il gruppo coordinato dalla Prof.ssa Monica Emanuelli svolge la sua attività di ricerca presso il Laboratorio di Enzimologia e Biologia Molecolare Clinica, che ospita attrezzature e strumenti utili a studi nell’ambito della Biochimica, della Biologia Molecolare e della Biochimica Clinica.

Le principali attività del laboratorio sono relative a:

  • Caratterizzazione molecolare e cinetica di enzimi del metabolismo piridinico, in particolare dell’enzima Nicotinamide N-Metiltrasferasi (NNMT), coinvolto nei processi di biotrasformazione di farmaci e composti xenobiotici.
